I recently celebrated my Golden Birthday, meaning I turned 28 on September 28. When I was younger I would day dream about what type of adventure I would embark on to celebrate this special birthday. As the months got closer to my birthday, I started to seriously research fun tropical destinations that would be perfect for a couple’s trip. We decided on the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas.
I was intrigued by the large resort boasting 6 swimming pools, white sand beaches and interactive wildlife just steps away from guest rooms. While there we ate fresh seafood, enjoyed banana daiquiris while submerged in the pool and lost our money at the casino. I wouldn’t change a thing! The weather was a perfect 85 degrees with endless sunshine throughout the day.
On top of it all, the local Bahamian people welcomed us with open arms into their culture. As much as the resort had to offer, I still recommend taking a trip into the town of Nassau to eat how the locals eat and see the island from their perspective.
I can’t recommend the city of Nassau or Grand Hyatt Baha Mar enough. If your looking for your next tropical beach vacation, look no further.
